There was a meeting with the Fantsuam wireless Africa team and the small and medium enterprises advisor. We wanted to identify partners who would be willing to pay for services like viop calls and HIV/AIDS calls. Possible clients are the catholic relief services and ICAP. There were discussions about who would require our services, how to go about the demand side study. We considered hot to approach the tax office to give us numbers of tax paying businesses in kafanchan that might be interested in getting Internet connection. Another strategy we discussed to introduce Internet to schools, is Rafiki and learning about living, online learning programs for children and teenagers.
To put into perspective the costs involved with setting up the repeater mesh nodes owned and run by local entrepreneurs, we made a budget that uses cantenna’s and mesh potatoes.
