I. Brief overview/summary
Sega Silicon Valley is a community programme that majors in four areas namely; Education, Infrastructure, Security and Agriculture. We use ICT to give and ensure relevance to the rural communities in Sega which has put the community in the world map in terms of rural development.

We established modern labs and 140 computers in 7 institutions (5 schools, a youth polytechnic and a community learning centre)‏
The initiative has attracted worldwide attention and wireless Africa Initiative being one of our partners in rural development through IT,

• We have Introduced ICT in Sega Township to enhance education, business and community development.
• Training in Integration of IT in business- 50 local entrepreneurs trained since May 2008 ( DOT partnership)
• Youth entrepreneurship ICT centre established with 10 computers at Sega market (EU/East African Community Partnership)
• Youth program on leadership, productive skills and business
• Cisco academy training – business development and support services
